There are two bands for the price of one this Friday 18th October at St Harmonica’s Blues Club; blimey, we’re coming on like the 100 Club but with better terms for the musicians and comfort and value for the audience.
Headlining for the first time at the club is Conrad and the Atomiks, led by an absolutely brilliant guitarist Conrad di Ianni. Conrad is no stranger to the club and has wowed the audience at our Sunday Blues Jams in the past. On Friday he brings his band, the Atomiks comprising very experienced musicians in the shapes of Conrad Di Ianni guitar and vocal, Debra Westowski on keyboards, Terry Duggan on electric bass and Andy Lomath on drums.
As a band they take their influences from 50s, 60s and early 70s R&B with some blues rock and rock ’n roll thrown into the mix. Their emphasis is on on having fun themselves which leads to their audiences everywhere being thoroughly entertained and wanting more.
They will be preceded by The Steve Cook Band who will play from 8.30pm. Steve Cook is a master of that swamp blues sound and has rocked the house many times at our blues jam.
The whole thing adds up to an exciting evening of the finest rocking blues, you won’t find better anywhere else.
Support act plays at 8.30pm followed by two sets from the main act starting soon after 9.00pm.
