A double header of bands for you this Friday, what an unmissable treat!
House Red is the house band from the award nominated St Harmonicas Blues Club. An outstanding band led by the powerful vocals of Chrissie Thomas (likened to the late, great Ottilie Patterson). With John Crowther on guitar, Simon Bennett on keyboards, Les Cole on drums and Dave Thomas on bass and vocals. House Red deliver a vintage and eclectic blend of rocking and soulful blues. These are the people behind the local blues scene.
The Blues Direction Electric Band are a group of highly experienced musicians put together by Mike Fulke, one of the most exciting performers at our monthly blues jams, under the musical direction of Saul Minaee. The Blues Direction Electric Band play funky, uplifting versions of blues classics, adding a few originals and getting the venue dancing! They headlined last summer’s Broomfield Blues final weekend to huge acclaim.
Both bands will play sets of approximately 75 mins each with House Red playing from 8.30pm and The Blues Direction Electric Band from 10.00pm
