It’s not St Patrick’s Day until Monday 17th, but to get you into the right mood, this Friday, 14th March, sees the return to St Harmonica’s Blues Club of one of our favourite bands when Big Mama’s Door perform. Fiona McElroy is over from Ireland for a few days to front her band which comprises the usual top drawer musicians. Francesca and Bradley Shaw on double bass and drums, Andy Knight on guitar, Martin Dewhirst on sax and Stephen Walsh on piano. Big Mama’s Door regularly play their brand of Sexy 50's RnB, jazz and soul with a whole lot of professionalism and love to sold out venues. Their music is an eclectic mix of originals and covers that will lift your spirits and get you moving.
There is a great support duo too in the forms of Two Man Job, Sky Wood with Jesse Thomas taking time out from the Blues Chapter to bring us their acclaimed acoustic set including tunes from Irish legends Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore
Two Man Job will play at 8.30pm followed by two sets from Big Mama’s Door starting just after 9.00pm. See you there.
