Support from Two Man Job

Friday May 15th
8.00 - 11.30pm

Once again we welcome a band to the club this Friday for the first time in the form of Tony Q’s BB Blues Band, a veritable smorgasbord of talent. Tony Qunta is no stranger to St Harmonica’s having been the guitarist and vocalist when Sam Kelly’s Station House performed for us last year. Those of you that saw him know that he is a brilliant, professional guitarist; he has performed with legendary names including Edgar Winter and Hazel O’Connor. In the BB Blues Band he collaborates with Soh Breezy, a highly respected vocalist and keyboard player with whom he shares vocal duties. Soh Breezy has performed with top jazz musician Alan Barnes as well as Soft Machine’s John Etheridge and Den Hegarty from Darts. They are backed by a supreme rhythm section comprising Henry Thomas on bass (Ginger Baker, Jim Capaldi and Justin Hayward as well as part of Sarah Jane Morris’ touring band) and Roger Batty on drums who has performed with Dave Stewart and Yvonne Catterfield as well as projects with U2. Expect this band to jazz them blues with shades of Hendrix added to the mix along with other classics.

And you’ll want to see the support act as well: House favourites Jesse Thomas and Sky Wood return as Two Man Job to play their acoustic set for everyones benefit. We can’t wait.

Support starts at 8.30pm followed by two sets from the BB Blues Band starting just after 9.00pm.
